toufic was born in 1926.  Toufic's father was afif ibrahim abou haidar and his mother was mateel.  His paternal grandparents were ibrahim boutros abou haidar and marsha.  He had five brothers and four sisters, named chafic, halim, kheir, george, kmal, wadad, mahiba, hnieneh and nouha.  He died at the age of 73 in 1999.
