john was born in 1958.  John's father was nicolas elias abou haidar and his mother is zakia melhem abou haidar.  His paternal grandparents were elias nicolas abou haidar and handoumeh.  He has four brothers and three sisters, named ghassan, george, hassan, elias, vilma, awatef and jouana.  He is the youngest of the eight children.
