The Abou Haidar family originated from the Arab kingdom of Ghassanid tribes who ruled Syria at that time for 600 years from (Euphorate river to Jordan river including parts of Lebanon and Iraq) with 37 kings (ref to ala'akd alfarid) and it was the first Christian kingdom in the middle east.
At about 1650 AD the tribe of Alforayjat who lived in Houran - Syria had a young man his name was Saadeh who had two brothers Abdul Massieh (Abou Ayoub) and Jerjus (Abou trad).
Saadeh himself had four sons Haidar, Shalhoub, Freijat and Shahine (abou kamal), Saadeh’s eldest son was Haidar, so the people around used to call him (father of Haidar) which means in Arabic (Abou Haidar) and this was the Arabic traditions and still is, to call someone with the name of his first son in order to prepare him to resume the authority of the father in case the father died or prisoned .
So Saadeh ( Abou Haidar ) was very distinquished prince of the Ghassanids, even his brothers and ( later on ) all of his sons were using his name as they were saying we belong to ( Abou Haidar ) who was supposed to be the leader of his people, and for unknown reason he moved with his family and his men to Beka’a valley.
The family in Lebanon inhabited so many places like Talia Baskinta, Houshbarada, Hammana, Aldamour, and so many other cities and villages ( to be added later ) including south and north America.
The Arabic names usually written in different spelling in English language, but it remained the same family like: Abou Haidar, Abu Haydar, Abi Haidar, Abo Haydar, Haidar, Haider, Aidar and so on.
This is the root of the family based on some references, we still doing researches with the help of some fine people who volunterely have to visit Houran ( albalka’a ) and northern parts of Syria looking for a village with the name of ( Al-Haidarieh ) and an old family tree supposed to be in Homes which was in the possession of an Abou haidar member.
All Abou Haidars are requested to participate in the process of building the family tree based on real history facts, - wherever your location and whatever your religion-, because we think that this is the right time to link our children to our noble ancesstors.
This site is merely a social affair, and has nothing to do with any religieous or political issue.
